Were currently seeking a Infrastructure Architect / Engineer in our Philadelphia, PA headquarters. The Infrastructure Architect / Engineer will be primarily responsible for all technology infrastructure at a leading multi-family real estate investment trust. The Infrastructure Architect / Engineer will direct the IT services function in developing, releasing, and maintaining network hardware & software applications according to business needs. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Managing the IT infrastructure resources, including drafting and executing its budget, developing its organizational structure;
  • Architect, develop, implement & operate technical solutions following best practices and best leveraging Company technology investments;
  • Operate technical solutions in a 24x7x365 environment including off hours support for business-critical production support issues;
  • Lead the design, specification, configuration, installation, and maintenance of local area network hardware, software and telecommunication services and Internet service providers;
  • Work closely with developers, product teams, business stakeholders & management to develop requirements, testing plans, project plans, training, release documentation and manage timelines;
  • Research and make recommendations on hardware and software purchases and negotiate with vendors to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions;
  • Implement processes to identify and mitigate information risks within the organization;
  • Manage internal Service Desk;
  • Engage in business & technical discussions and have strategic influence;
  • Accountable for identifying and aligning all required resources to execute Company objectives;
  • Adhere to the system development life cycle and be responsible for time estimates for development efforts, and completion of deliverables within project timelines;
  • Hire, mentor and manage a high performance IT team, which may include both in office employees, remote employees, and consultants;
  • Other duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
    Required Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent field, or 15+ years professional experience.
    • 7+ years experience in IT Infrastructure administration that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience (required);
    • 5-7+ years of experience implementing and supporting enterprise data center storage, working with deployments, proactive methods and troubleshooting; Planning and executing storage and technology upgrades and migrations (required);
    • Previous experience with property management systems a plus.
      Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Ability:
      • Proficient in Microsoft technologies including Microsoft 365 E5, Azure Cloud Computing Services and Windows Server
      • Proficient with Windows laptops and Apple iPhones/iPads
      • Motivated by high level of accountability; results oriented.
      • Strong leadership abilities, exhibiting confidence and professionalism.
      • Collaborative skills, ability to work with diverse teams and external entities to accomplish project and operational goals.
      • Demonstrated ability for multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
      • Exceptional scheduling and organizational skills.
      • Team player with strong work ethic.
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
      • Must be able to travel.
