The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in the automotive or industrial field, capable of managing their day to day tasks while working in a team environment, knowledgeable with automotive electronics and software programming!-- This position would require to be onsite in the Philadelphia area.-- Duties and Responsibilities

• Write software program to functionally test ECU.
• Design fixture wiring between Unit under Test (UUT) and test system.
• Knowledge of how embedded systems work.
• Ability to reverse engineer ECU in order implements equipment and procedures to reset the ECU to factory state.
• Provide specifications for modifying test equipment when current test equipment is inadequate for late model ECU.
• Perform warranty analysis as part of a review team.
• Ability to learn and understand legacy test systems and programs.
• Provide repair suggestions to repair development team for failed units.
• Perform raw material inspections on components used to repair failed units.
• Perform On Car Testing to gather information, test raw materials, or prove out initialization process.
• to understand/modify/create test program library functions for lower level use
• interpret, implement and/or mimic existing automotive diagnostic communications
• Ability/willingness to do hands-on troubleshooting of software/hardware problems and provide assistance where needed
• Ability to multi-task, deal with multiple concurrent projects at the same time
• Ability to work with people from various areas of responsibility and back grounds
• Ability and determination to find creative solutions to unique challenges
• Content working with and on older technologies
• Other duties as assigned --Qualifications--
  • Bachelor's Degree in related field--
  • 3-5--years' related experience
  • Familiar with automotive communication protocols, CAN, J1850, SCI, etc.
  • An understanding of automotive systems, control modules, module reprogramming, anti-theft systems and automotive diagnostics
  • Hands on experience
