A full-time paraprofessional position is available within an elementary school setting in Chester, PA, for the upcoming academic semester. This contract role begins immediately and runs through June 12, 2026, offering the opportunity to support students with diverse educational and behavioral needs. Responsibilities include providing one-on-one educational assistance to students exhibiting elopement behaviors and those requiring behavioral management. The role demands a commitment to working onsite daily alongside special education students and managing a K-12 caseload in an urban school environment. Candidates must be prepared to assist with personal care tasks such as toileting and diapering. Key qualifications and experience: - High school diploma and current CPR certification (resources can be provided) - Prior school-based experience working with special education and behaviorally challenged students - Comfortable working with K-12 students in an urban setting - Ability to obtain and complete Pennsylvania state clearances - Demonstrated experience supporting students with behavioral management needs and elopement issues - Strong references from previous educational roles - Willingness to openly disclose district affiliation during the application process Additional details: - Three male candidates sought for one-on-one support roles - Total of three openings available - Candidates will undergo a Zoom interview process - Only three candidates will be considered per opening at any given time, based on district guidelines - Top priority given to onboard-ready candidates who meet all requirements This role provides a meaningful opportunity to make a difference in the lives of students requiring specialized support within an elementary education setting.
