JOB TITLE: Adjunct Associate Professor Summary: The Museum
Studies Department at University of the Arts is seeking adjunct
faculty to lead courses in a newly revised MA in Museum Studies.
Positions require collaboration with other faculty members. If you
feel you meet most of the requirements, and believe you can aid in
the development of passionate emerging museum professionals, we

- Develop course syllabus appropriate to face-to-face and/or
remote learning context
- Complete and submit all required materials, including syllabus
and student grades
- Ensure quality of student work is strong, appropriate, and
meets the expectations set forth in the program
- Set tone for the class, establishes guidelines and protocols
for behavior and classroom activity, and provide instruction that
meets the needs of all learners for face-to-face and/or remote
learning context
- Contribute ideas for improving current class or creating new
initiatives and effectively resolves challenges that arise in their
classroom
- Establish an inclusive environment in the classroom and
demonstrates an understanding of, and sensitivity to, the diverse
academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of the
University's faculty, staff, and students
- Demonstrate a sense of connection and responsibility for
helping UArts achieve success through a commitment to its mission,
vision, and values
- Return telephone calls and email messages from program
administration in timely manner
- Attend new faculty orientation The above statements are

- Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field or equivalent
experience in relevant fields Experience:
- Experience with museums and/or other cultural institutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Previous teaching experience and/or genuine interest in working
with students and helping them develop knowledge/skills
- Ability to utilize diverse instructional methods and adapt the
curriculum to student needs About The University: University of the
