Job DescriptionSummary and Scope of Position:The Head Wrestling
Coach is responsible for the administration and organization of a
successful program that competes at the NCAA Division III level.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining a successful program while providing a
positive student-athlete experience
- Planning and conducting practices, teaching and implementing
skills and strategies, and player development
- Hiring, supervising, and evaluating Assistant Coaches and/or
Volunteer Coaches
- Evaluation and recruitment of qualified student-athletes
- Retention of quality student-athletes
- Scheduling games, practices, team activities, transportation,
team meals, etc.
- Development and management of the program's budget and
fundraising efforts
- Providing guidance to student-athletes regarding their academic
and overall success
- Alumni and community outreach
- Campus, community, and media relationsRequirements and
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred
- 1-3 years collegiate coaching experience preferred
- Knowledge of rules and techniques of the sport
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational, delegation and planning ability
- Knowledge of NCAA Division III rules and regulations
- Experience with recruiting and fundraisingOther Duties:The
