  • Models focus, attention to detail, professionalism, and follow-through.Job Summary:The PHLpreK Early Care and Education Business Specialist is responsible for achieving full implementation of key aspects of the PHLpreK Quality Support Center's approach, supporting providers with strengthening business and administrative operations as well as regulatory compliance. The PHLpreK program's mission is to increase access to quality early learning by offering free pre-Kindergarten programs to children regardless of their family's income. The Specialist develops content, technical assistance, and training supports related to advancing business quality, stability, and sustainability. The Specialist will collaborate with the content development and coaching teams to inform, customize, develop and/or deliver a wide range of training content, which includes digital content, professional learning events both in-person and virtual, and specialized coaching support. The Specialist will lead coordination and provision of quality support services required by the PHLpreK program including:
    • Quality supports for areas such as financial and operational guidance
    • Services to providers not yet rated STAR 3 or STAR 4 as they develop higher quality care delivery
    • Supporting pre-qualified providers to serve in the PHLpreK program in preparation of expansion and reallocations
    • Interventions necessary in response to corrective action plansEssential Duties and ; Responsibilities:
      • Develops the business support strategy for the entire TA program. This includes the creation of business and administrative related content that aligns to identified professional development needs of PHLpreK providers.
      • Coordinates and collaborates with the Shine Early Learning and Acelero educational program development, content creation, and technical supports.
      • Acts as the subject matter expert for all digital and coaching related content.
      • Conceives, designs, develops and facilitates in-person and virtual training (e.g. workshops, webinars, professional learning communities).
      • Provides professional development to coaches to support their knowledge and expertise and is able to provide acute support to specific providers in various circumstances.
      • Analyzes provider engagement with all business-related content and determines strategies for continuous improvement.
      • Contributes to the development of other early childhood content as needed.
      • Participates in assigned meetings, events and training as required.Job Requirements:
        • BA in education, early childhood, or a related field. Graduate degree is strongly preferred.
        • 5+ years of previous experience in the childcare field, including experience in coaching, supervision, and 2+ years providing technical assistance to programs
        • Experience as a early care and education director, owner, or operator
        • Prior experience in multi-project management required
        • Fully bilingual in Spanish and English strongly preferred
        • Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
        • Travel required locally or long-distance up to 20% of the time for work-related meetings and functions
