Job Description:
Risk Project Leader (The Boston Consulting Group, Inc. - New
York, New York): Define, develop, and project manage impactful information
technology (IT) and business solutions that strengthen regulatory
compliance for national and international organizations within the financial
services sector. Specific duties include: perform financial risk
management analysis; design and develop superior solutions for financial
services and banking clients through model development, validation and
governance; perform IT product evaluation and selection for financial
services and banking clients; perform data sourcing, scrubbing and mapping;
assess regulatory compliance and develop standards for financial risk;
advise clients on internal audit functions on topics such as model
review, process and control assessment; set up compliance frameworks for
clients; help clients with regulatory-identified and self-identified issues;
provide modeling, validation and model review services to financial
institutions; and act as key business partner and support process
improvement initiatives. Requires a Master's degree in financial
engineering, financial mathematics, econometrics, computational finance, or a related
quantitative field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) and four
(4) years of experience analyzing risk and performing quantitative risk
model development and validation in the financial services, data,
cyber-security or regulatory fields. Specific skills/other requirements
(quantitative experience not applicable to this section) - must possess the
following: (i) working with at least two of the following programming
languages: C++, SAS, R, VBA and Matlab; (ii) preparing technical writing
documents; (iii) utilizing at least three of the following modelling topics:
Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Liquidity Risk and Cyber Risk;
(iv) knowledge of key banking regulations and the financial industry;
(v) CCAR/DFAST, capital planning and internal audits; and (iv)
retail/wholesale bank products modeling. Domestic/International travel required
based on client/company need. Multiple positions available. Must have
unrestricted authorization to work in U.S. M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. 45+
