Job Description:
Conduct complex data analysis focusing on statistical modeling,
analytical consulting and marketing research to provide analytical support
in marketing research and litigation projects for the life
sciences, pharmaceutical and biotech industries. Primary Responsibilities:
using SAS and R, import, clean, and mine health-care large-scale databases
using analytics techniques to develop critical business insights,
improve marketing strategy, identify business opportunities and risks,
and assist data-driven decision making; design and create advanced
predictive statistical models (e.g. SVM, Logistic, LASSO, Random Forest,
Bayesian hierarchical model, neural networks, decision trees, Logistic
regression) using SAS/R/Python to provide business insight and solutions for
life science clients; build intuitive and interactive web pages or
dashboard using HTML/CSS/JavaScript for data visualization and communicate
findings with internal and external clients; write and maintain SAS
syntax to manipulate and process different claim and prescription
databases, including, PharMetrics, LAAD, Xponent, APLD/MHA, Truven, DDD,
HCOS to build and maintain code libraries; create and prepare training decks
for analytic members and new team members; and use SAS/base, SAS/SQL,
SAS/Macro, R, STATA, SPSS, Relational Database, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint to
perform large data manipulation and develop advanced statistical models
and reports. Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign educational
equivalent) in Statistics, Analytics, Operations Research, Mathematics or a
closely related field and one (1) year of experience performing
statistical data analysis, SAS programming and statistical modeling within life
science domain. Candidate must also possess demonstrated expertise:
performing large data manipulation for pharmaceutical secondary data
including patient- level claim data, physician-level Rx data, sales data, marketing
data, using SAS/base, SAS/SQL, SAS/Macro or R and in data
visualization using SAS, R, D3js, or Tableau; in design of experiment (DoE) for patient/physician survey - - Conjoint or MaxDiff - - using SAS
and SPSS; and applying statistical modeling techniques - - decision tree,
logistic regression, generalized linear regression, multivariate
regression, neural networks, support vector machines, and clustering - - to develop
