Job Description Are you looking to build, or continue growing a
career in residential solar installation? We are hiring Residential
Solar Installers at multiple experience levels to support our
expanding installation teams. /n /n This is a hands-on, field-based
role focused exclusively on residential solar installations, not
general labor. Whether you’re newer to solar or a seasoned
installer ready for the next step, we align title,
responsibilities, and compensation with your experience. /n
/nInstaller Levels/nInstaller I – Entry Level / Junior Installer/n
Ideal for candidates newer to solar or transitioning from roofing,
electrical, or construction roles. /n Responsibilities include: /n
/n - /n Assist with installing residential solar PV systems under
supervision /n /n - /n Support racking assembly, module placement,
and site preparation /n /n - /n Safely use ladders, fall
protection, and basic power tools /n /n - /n Maintain a clean,
organized, and safe job site /n /n - /n Learn installation plans,
code requirements, and best practices /n /n /nInstaller II –
Experienced Solar Installer/n For installers with hands-on
residential solar experience who can perform most install tasks
independently. /n Responsibilities include: /n /n - /n Install
rooftop and ground-mounted solar PV systems per engineered plans /n
/n - /n Read and execute layout plans, roof diagrams, and equipment
placement /n /n - /n Install racking, modules, conduit, and assist
with wiring /n /n - /n Identify and help troubleshoot site and
install challenges /n /n - /n Support quality control and mentor
Installer I team members /n /n /nInstaller III /n For experienced
solar professionals ready to take on advanced technical
responsibility and leadership on site. /n Responsibilities include:
/n /n - /n Lead residential solar installations from start to
finish /n /n - /n Troubleshoot complex roof conditions, layouts,
and system issues /n /n - /n Ensure NEC compliance, AHJ
requirements, and inspection readiness /n /n - /n Serve as a
technical resource for the install team /n /n - /n Train and mentor
junior installers /n /n - /n Support pathway into Senior Installer
or advanced technical roles /n /n /nWhat You’ll Do (All Levels)/n
/n - /n Install residential solar PV systems on rooftops and ground
mounts /n /n - /n Follow engineered plans, NEC standards, and local
building codes /n /n - /n Evaluate job sites for safety, structural
integrity, and roof conditions /n /n - /n Capture install photos,
site notes, and as-built details /n /n - /n Maintain clean,
professional job sites with a focus on safety and quality /n /n -
/n Meet daily production goals while prioritizing workmanship /n /n
/nWhat We’re Looking For/n /n - /n Installer I: Construction,
roofing, or electrical background preferred /n /n - /n Installer
II–III: 1–2 years of residential solar installation experience /n
/n - /n Comfortable working on pitched roofs using ladders and fall
protection /n /n - /n Strong mechanical aptitude and experience
with hand and power tools /n /n - /n Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
and perform physical labor throughout the day /n /n - /n Reliable,
safety-focused, and team-oriented mindset /n /n - /n Valid driver’s
license and ability to travel to job sites /n /n
