VP of Marketing Strategist

This role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies supporting Company’s PMC business, the investment management and research unit of Company. The VP will demonstrate solid subject matter expertise and will be expected to develop a deep understanding of PMC offerings that span research, due diligence, consulting and investment services and solutions. This individual will be responsible for creating clear, consistent and impactful messaging that differentiates PMC’s services and solutions to financial advisors, and positions Company as a thought leader in the marketplace. This marketing leader will execute integrated product marketing plans, develop and curate marketing collateral, expand our digital engagement, and monitor business results to inform better ways to distribute our solutions.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Messaging and strategy Develop and implement positioning and content for Company PMC services and solutions. Create compelling product content that is distributed via print, email, digital, multi-media and social networks. Advance Company’s position as a thought leader in the marketplace, developing a proactive, comprehensive market insight program. Identify industry, advisor and client trends to create a differentiated and impactful Company experience for financial advisors. Collaborate with Product Management, Portfolio Management, Sales, Marketing and Compliance to drive effective, digitally-relevant and measurable campaigns. Digital campaign execution Develop lead signal generation and a trigger-based model to drive sales leads and deepen understanding of client purchase behaviors. Leverage audience- and channel-specific strategies including social networks, email, video, and more. Measure and optimize Extract insights from content analytics and partner with internal and external stakeholders to continuously improve performance. Define key metrics that signal success of content and how it links back to business drivers. Oversee update cycle of comprehensive suite of marketing materials, conducting regular audits to test effectiveness, and pursuing automation strategies Knowledge, Skill and Ability Ability to translate complex and varied inputs including market data, client and executive insights, and broad industry research into compelling stories and actionable programs Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make the complex simple, conveying concepts with easy-to-understand narratives and engaging visuals Solid project management skills and proven effectiveness at strategic relationship- building across internal and external stakeholders Strong sales orientation; takes initiative to implement necessary tactics to successfully execute strategic programs in collaboration with Sales team Previous experience developing comprehensive multi-media marketing campaigns, including web, mobile, video, social media and e-mail A “can-do,” results-oriented approach to business Ability to understand dependencies and anticipate downstream consequences Very strong PowerPoint and Excel skills Working knowledge of SEO optimization, or willingness to learn. Fluency with Google Analytics a plus.
