This role entails managing and delivering all marketing activity in North America including internal and external communications, public relations, event management and coordination, social media, proposals/pitches, and collateral development.The role requires a significant level of experience in people management,project management, delivering client-driven campaigns using various event and communications channels to achieve business goals.As a marketing and communications director, you will need to be able to prioritize and work well under pressure. You will be highly organized, forward-thinking, collaborative, tech-savvy and an approachable person with a positive outlook and can-do attitude.You will report to the Chief Marketing & Communications Officer, and you will be part of a team of experienced marketing and communications professionals.The Role and Responsibilities:

  • People Management of a team of experienced marketing and proposals and graphic design resources in the Americas to help elevate the brand across all service lines.
  • Event management and coordination of the firm's participation, including exhibitions, conferences, panel discussions, and webinars. Liaise and coordinate with event organizers, vendors and key stakeholders in fulfilling the firm's requirements.
  • Responsible for all event campaigns ensuring they are available on the firm's CRM system, including client contact details and opportunities generated, and measuring key successes
  • Develop brochures, flyers and other materials applying the firm's brand style as necessary for consistency as requested to support service lines and business development requests
  • Provide non-technical and persuasive writing expertise for project profiles, presentations, marketing collateral, resumes and other marketing and business development support to enhance and enrich the content and message of the firm's collateral.
  • Manage and oversee all social media activities, including social media campaigns, and look at ways to consistently increase engagement and where necessary sponsor posts to attract a wider audience.
  • Produce and update the bid management content library including but limited to project expertise and client testimonials and assist with the coordination of case studies and curriculum vitae whilst collaboratingwith internal stakeholders.
  • Responsible for internal communications, ensuring our colleagues are kept informed and up to date on client, people and business news.
  • Support our Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy by playing an integral role in ESG committee meetings, creating awareness of the importance of ESG across the region, and ensuring all activities are promoted both internally and externally.
  • Brand Management responsibility for the region, ensuring consistency across the firm's branded merchandise, templates, and marketing and advertising material.
  • Work closely with our mergers and acquisition integration teams to successfully lead from a marketing a communications perspective on the successful integration of new firms joining the HKA brand.The Person Specification:
    • 10+ years of experience managing marketing and communications for a B2B professional services firm.
    • Excellent writing, grammar, and proofreading skills and with high attention to detail.
    • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks of varying complexity, able tomeet deadlines and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Possess exceptional communication and organizational skills.
    • Knowledge of construction, engineering, architectural, construction management and legal industries is strongly desired.
    • Degree in at least one of the following: (marketing, communications, English/writing, public relations/communications).
    • Experience with CRM programs and/or Vantagepoint CRM system required.
    • Graphics and presentation skills including the ability to customize marketing and sales materials using Adobe Creative software including Acrobat, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop and other desktop publishing software applications.
