Administrative Assistant - Contractor Licensing Admin - Construction - ORBIT ENERGY & POWER Join one of the fastest growing companies in the tristate area!!! Job Overview: Orbit Energy & Power (Sewell, NJ) seeks a reliable, motivated and organized Administrative Contractor Licensing Specialist. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment where multi-tasking is required. The Admin will serve as a dynamic part of the operations team and would be responsible for liaising with various state and local municipalities to ensure we are up to date or have acquired the satisfactory and timely contracting licenses for our projects required to guarantee on-time delivery of service installations for our rapidly-growing customer base.Requirements:

  • Perform all due diligence associated with achieving requisite permitting necessary for the completion of solar power installations.
  • Ensure property owner support and documentation for zoning issues and applications.
  • Communicate with local jurisdictions, verifying and tracking all permitting requirements including design specifications, permit lead times, points of contact and special requirements.
  • Work with the operations team to understand priorities and communicate with customer permit package deliverables.
  • Provide customer-facing communications including status updates.
  • Maintain orderly records of all documents.
  • Coordinate internal activities with appropriate departments (i.e. design, operations, service, field and sales).Qualifications:
    • Ability to prioritize areas where our licensing will to be obtained or renewed based upon lead times and customer schedule.
    • Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently as well as part of our operations team.
    • Prior experience working in the Construction industry or Solar/renewable energy industry preferred.
    • 2-3 years' experience working with various state and local municipalities to ensure the satisfactory and timely completion of all applications, documentation for contracting licenses (Electrical, Plumbing etc.) to guarantee on time delivery of service installations.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines.
    • Must be able to work onsite in Sewell, NJ office (NOT a work from home position)
    • Strong Computer Skills and attention to detail.
