Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Accountant to join our team in Lebanon, Ohio, on a
contract basis. In this role, you will handle critical accounting
tasks to ensure smooth financial operations, including managing
transactions, payroll, and cost tracking. This position offers
flexible hours, requiring approximately 15-20 hours per week.
Responsibilities: • Process accounts payable and receivable
transactions with accuracy and efficiency. • Perform payroll
duties, including timesheet verification, labor distribution
postings, and project cost allocations. • Reconcile bank accounts
and manage credit card transactions, ensuring proper coding and
categorization. • Handle coding and processing of consultant
invoices, including tracking up to 25-30 monthly 1099 invoices. •
Maintain the general ledger and complete journal entries in
compliance with accounting standards. • Utilize QuickBooks Online
and Unanet to manage financial data and ensure accurate reporting.
• Conduct regular reconciliations and reviews to maintain data
integrity. • Assist with job costing and ensure financial records
align with project budgets. • Collaborate with team members to
streamline accounting processes and resolve discrepancies.• Minimum
of 5 years of accounting experience in a detail-oriented
environment. • Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Unanet, with a
strong understanding of government-specific accounting practices. •
Expertise in managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and
general ledger. • Experience processing payroll using Paylocity,
including labor distribution and timesheet validation. • Ability to
handle credit card transaction processing and coding with attention
to detail. • Skilled in reconciling bank accounts and preparing
journal entries. • Familiarity with job costing and project-based
accounting. • Strong organizational and communication skills to
manage multiple tasks effectively.
