  • PTO packageJob DetailsJob Details:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Controller to join our finance team. This role is pivotal to the overall financial stability and growth of our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the development and maintenance of all financial reporting, performing forecasting duties, managing the review and development of policies and procedures, overseeing month end close process, and overseeing accounting-related functions pertaining to mergers. Assist the CFO in the development and maintenance of all financial reporting including but not limited to month-end reports, board reports, asset-liability committee (ALCO) reports, and regulatory and vendor reporting for American Heritage and its Credit Union Service Organizations (CUSOs).2. Perform forecasting duties which include assisting the CFO in the maintenance and processing of data analyses using the asset/liability (ALM) model.3. Manage the review and development of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.4. Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.5. Oversee accounting-related functions pertaining to mergers, ensuring a smooth financial transition and integration.6. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insight and guidance.7. Identify potential areas of improvement in financial processes and work towards implementing effective solutions.Qualifications:1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is required.2. A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is mandatory.3. Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Controller role or similar position within the finance industry.4. Proven experience in financial reporting, forecasting, and policy development.5. Strong knowledge of asset/liability (ALM) models.6. Experience in overseeing accounting functions related to mergers.7. Excellent leadership and team management skills.8.
