We are looking for a talented senior accountant to add to our in-house staff.We are looking for candidates that have public accounting experience that understand what it takes to work with a client on both their financial statement and tax needs. Our firm does not focus our employees in just financial accounting or tax. The team assigned to a job, which in most cases will include both in-house and remote employees, will collaborate to complete the work from beginning to end, providing well-rounded experience that few firms provide.Our firm focuses our efforts on privately-held family businesses from 0-$500M in revenue. We conduct audits, reviews and compilations with associated tax work responsibilities. Our tax work is mainly corporate-related except for the preparation of individual returns associated with our clients. We also handle estate tax matters with another related law firm. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for managing the financial operations of our organization, ensuring that all financial transactions are accurate and compliant with regulatory requirements. This is a permanent position, and the ideal candidate should have a CPA certification and at least three years of experience in public accounting. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
  • Manage the monthly close process and ensure all financial reports are accurate and timely
  • Review and analyze financial data, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting
  • Manage and mentor junior accounting staff
  • Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Finance Manager.Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • CPA certification preferred
    • At least three years of experience in public accounting
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
    • Experience with CCH Axcess or similar accounting software
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
