Job Description:

In support of all Leonardo Helicopters geographical locations negotiations and manage contracts with suppliers, manage new bids, supplier sourcing and selection, building supplier strategies, work in close contact with key stakeholders including Engineering and Program Management departments to manage the contractual aspects of new developments/improvement of existing arrangements.Responsibilities:* Manage strategic sourcing of new equipment against specification and programs requirements* Support selection of new suppliers and lead negotiation of appropriate contractual frame works* Support new customer programs bidding activity* Define Category Strategy to support business needs - technological, financial and Program* Achieve cost reduction targets* Negotiate Terms and Conditions/pricing contracts that support business requirements* Drafting of appropriate bespoke contractual frame works to support complex acquisition, design, development and qualification programs* Define strategies to procure commodities in regional and global markets* Develop and consolidate business relations* Aid in keeping project cost-effective by controlling costs and enhancing benefits* Build strategies to encourage high levels of supplier performance* Collaborate with and advise Sourcing & Contracting manager on required issues* Act as ultimate point of escalation for significant supplier issues* Develop plans for better negotiations and cost reduction* Manage complex design, development and qualification programsRequirements:* BA/BS in business, supply chain or engineering or related area required. Experience within the Defence/Aviation Industry is a plus* Two years minimum of relevant procurement or commercial experience with proven examples of:* Bid and sourcing experience based on both technical and commercial requirements* Performance improvement against core objectives (e.g. cost reduction, schedule adherence, lead time reduction etc)* Negotiation, agreement and management of Procurement contracts (Long Term Agreement, Design and Manufacturing Agreement)* Management of complex, high value contracts, including management of the programs design and development* Strong written and oral communication skills* A proven ability to influence internally and externally and solve problems proactively* Advanced team working skills and capable of coordinating multi-functional team activity* Working knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP system and Microsoft Office Suite* Proven ability to work in international markets* Able to work under pressure and meet customer deadlines* Able & willing to travel alone or as part of a team, locally and internationallyEqual Opportunity Employer/Vet/Disability
