Requisition ID: 1512 Position Overview: The Accounting Manager
position -will work under the guidance of the corporate controller
in playing a key role in the company's month end closing process.
-The accounting manager position is responsible for closely
managing the progress of costing projects during the month end
close process, overseeing a cost accounting department of six. This
position will also be responsible with assisting the corporate
controller with balance sheet analytics, finance and planning,
monthly end closing entries (including payroll), production of
monthly commission statements and bonus plans, and compilation and
calculation of monthly sales & cost accruals, monthly financial
statement production (including variance analysis and
distribution). -The ideal candidate will have a 4-year degree in
accounting or related field (required) and have 5 years or more of
general accounting and managerial experience. The candidate should
be detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication
skills and an aptitude toward systems and automation (Excel,
Microsoft Dynamics, Google Sheets). Sparks Marketing LLC.. requires

offices. - Responsibilities:
- Participate in the Month End closing (project close outs for
the period end) and recording of monthly journal entries
- Reconciliation and recording of monthly payroll entries for
multiple entities
- Calculation and distribution of monthly commission and bonus
statements
- Develop a detailed understanding of the costing process and
provide oversight and support to the cost accounting team
- Management of the monthly sales forecast provided to senior
management
- Reconciliation of monthly balance sheet analytics including
payroll, prepaids and costing accruals and researching
variances
- Analyzing monthly financial statements and providing variance
analysis on key revenue & expense accounts
- Assist in the compiling of requests and information for
external auditors during annual year-end audit
- Assist in the development of the annual budget and quarterly
reforecasts
- Maintain close, supportive, and professional relationships with
other Corporate Departments including but not limited to HR,
Accounting and Finance, Account Management, Account Directors and
IT
- Develop in-depth knowledge of various business processes and
understand their impact on various transactional systems. Where
automation is lacking, ensure manual processes with proper controls
and documentation exist to support accounting and finance
