Senior Internal Auditor in Philadelphia, PA at Vaco We are currently searching for an individual based in the Greater Philadelphia area who will have the ability to work remotely with a monthly visit to the corporate office in Wilmington. This individual will play a meaningful role in driving business improvements through a variety of operational and financial reviews for the organization with a global focus and with revenues more than $300M annuallyThis role is part of a critical function that is building the Internal Audit team, with a focus on a variety of activities including operational audits, M&A diligence, financial reviews, data analytics, and other ad hoc projects. The organization is consistently changing through acquisitions and new product offerings and this role will be a key member of the team that is driving independent assurance for the executive leadership.Responsibilities

• Understand and apply Company's internal controls and accounting policies, as well as Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS).
• Develop, and leverage, knowledge of organizations information systems and their application.
• Identify risk and assess the effectiveness of control activities; including performance of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) testing of the design and effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting.
• Create organized stand alone workpapers to support audit testing and report findings.
• Review workpapers and report drafts to ensure that all significant accounting, auditing and reporting issues have been identified and communicated.
• Complete assignments in a timely fashion.
• Evaluate and improve on the effectiveness and efficiency of the audit process by continually challenging and improving our audit procedures.
• Utilize exposure gained from assignments to build knowledge of the company's business for future opportunities outside of Internal Audit.
• Contribute to on-going risk assessment.
• Supervise Staff Auditors on assignments
• Miscellaneous duties as assigned.
• Travel: 25%, including a mix of international and domestic locationsQualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance.
  • This position requires an analytical thinker, problem solver and innovator who possesses a high level of integrity and objectivity and is able to work independently, creatively, and flexibly.
  • Exhibit strong project management, time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects, in multiple geographic locations simultaneously.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of IT management including senior/executive management.
  • Experience with SOX compliance and SOX controls
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and/or an advanced degree is strongly preferred.
