Job Description:
Responsible for working with leadership, investigators, clinical
research staff, sponsors and vendors to identify, develop and
execute Jefferson and the Partners in Innovation, Education, and
Research Consortium --- ("PIER") vision and operational strategy.
PIER is a collaborative network spanning five health systems,
offering an entrepreneurial approach to clinical research. The
focus is to streamline the clinical research process, accelerate
clinical trials, and facilitate sharing of innovative ideas across
the consortium. -
- Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent
with the values of Jefferson .
- Support, direct, and manage the day to day operations of the
PIER Central Office to include member relations, business
operations, regulatory, and clinical trial operations.
- Collaborate with multiple Clinical Research Stakeholders for
projects across the PIER Consortium.
- Identify and develop clinical research study opportunities with
sponsors, government, and academia in a wide range of therapeutic
areas. OTHER FUNCTIONS AND COMPETENCIES needed in addition to
Essential Functions:
- Provide project management support to the Chief Operating
Officer, Board of Managers, Board of Members, PIER Legal Advisory
Committee, and other committees as assigned to include preparation
and distribution of meeting agendas, and minutes.
- Serve as the primary sponsor contact for new trials and under
the direction of the Chair of the Oncology Physician-Investigator
Advisory Committee, and the Chair of the Physician-Investigator
Advisory Committee, distribute clinical trial protocols and
feasibility questionnaires to investigators interested in
participating in trials.
- Collaborate with JCRI in the preparation of annual budget and
management of banking and invoicing.
- Facilitate preparation of liability insurance applications for
the PIER consortium
- Submit annual and fiscal year documents to Financial Vendor to
prepare Federal and State tax reporting.
- Collaborate with Marketing and JCRI to maintain PIER website
and develop marketing materials to attract patients, sponsors, and
new members to PIER.
- Serve as project manager for the Florence e-Document Regulatory
Binder System.
- Develop and deliver clinical research staff orientation and
training on the e-Document Regulatory Management System.
- Coordinate submission of sponsor budgets/contracts to vendor
for negotiation of budgets, contracts, and coverage analysis.
- Collaborate with sites as well as the JCRI regulatory team in
preparing regulatory documents for submission to central IRB's for
approval.
- Build, distribute, and analyze surveys as required to
stakeholders.
- On behalf of the Chief Operating Officer, develop
communication's to include letters, memos, and power point
presentations for distribution to stakeholders.
- Provide administrative support for planning symposiums,
education, and training to PIER members. EDUCATIONAL/TRAINING
REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS :
- Five year's experience in Clinical Research Operations
required.
- Experience working with non-governmental organizations (NGO's)
and non-profit organizations preferred. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
:Experience Microsoft Word, Excel, Power, Point required Conditions
