Planning and directing all accounting operational functions, handling the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluating accounting and internal control systems, and leading departmental staff will be essential for this role. This full-time position is for a Controller who will work in the King of Prussia, Pennsylvania region.What you get to do every single day- Perform tasks associated with month-end and year-end close of income statement and balance sheet, account reconciliations & G/L analysis- Present executive committee and partners with monthly financial reports- Assess, execute and improve policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies- Oversee the activities of the finance department, such as accounts payable, billings & collections, and payroll- Time monthly billing and other cash management techniques to make sure cash collection is punctual- Collaborate with executive team and partners to support efficient and effective firm-wide operation- Ensure client satisfaction by reviewing deliverables of self and team- Comfortable in taking on tasks beyond formal job responsibilities- Prepare cash-flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management- Research, plan and implement Finance Department initiatives including software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, as needed- Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthlyJob Requirements:- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field- Prior work done in public accounting is desired- Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines- Be detailed, flexible, and organized- Wide ranging experience with Annual Audited Financial Statements- Proven knowledge of General Ledger System- Proficiency in cash flow management- Financial reporting experience preferred- Comprehension of payroll- Well-founded grasp of US GAAP- Non-Profit experience required- Investments experience- Advanced Microsoft Excel experience required- General familiarity with Monthly Account Reconciliation- Previous experience working with budget forecasting- Internal Control experience highly desired- Hands-on experience with Controllership Functions- Good understanding of MBA- Earlier work involving CPA- Skills in OFAC Regulation- Quality experience with account analysis- Practical knowledge of Monthly Balance Sheet- Prior work in technology, analytics and management experience desired- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills- Takes action on items beyond formal job responsibilities- Remarkable analytical, quantitative and social skills- 15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred- Demonstrated ability to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds- Ability to work in a dynamic and changing environment- CPA or MBA preferredThis Controller role offers EXCELLENT benefits/retirement plan!!!
